Karate World Karate Championships 2011

Karate World Karate Championships 2011 at Crystal Palace
A couple of weeks ago the Croughton based Karate team won 28 medals at the resent TYGA World Karate Championships. Members Traci Hensley, James Desborough, Harvey Taylor and Ryan Lee Carter all took Gold medals and Master Steve Hunt took back his Gold title for the 5th successful year in the weapons event. The youngest member of the club “little” Louis Taylor came in later in the day with an impressive Bronze medal, an outstanding result as this was his first ever competition. Well done Louis. Well done everyone from the club.
Volunteers wanted to help with Village Hall

Do you realise just how much our Village Hall is used?
It is used by the very young at the Pre-school group, Parents, where are you? by Dancers, Artists, Historians, Cinema Buffs, Wine Drinkers, Short Mat Bowlers, W.I. and the Parish Council, to name but just a few. We are in need of young, new blood to join the Committee and to help maintain and run this amazing Village asset. We are asking for a few hours a month. Interested??? Contact 01869 810228 or come along to one of our meetings in the Parish Room, the last Wednesday of every month. Everyone welcome!
