My Life with Auntie - Wed 16th May
12th May 2012

“My Life with Auntie”, an illustrated talk given by Campbell Hughes about his work as a studio manager for the BBC, proved to be highly entertaining. Campbell managed to give information about “the Beeb” with a great deal of humour and included extracts from a few of the many recordings he made during his 30 years with the corporation.

The next meeting on Wednesday 16 May, will be held in the garden of the Old Station House in Newton Purcell, a garden which will be lost when HS2 is built. The gathering will meet at 6.30pm. Should the weather be inclement, the Pims and nibbles, plus members, will transfer to the Village Hall. The final decision will be made on the day and those who have signed up to go will be notified if the venue is changed.
