In September Ian Aldeby of Aldeby Wines hosted a superb evening featuring a selection of wines from the Langedoc Region of France. Ian provided us with a wealth of local knowledge gained from his experience in the region and brought some excellent wines for us to sample.
Aldeby Wines is also a member of the ASDW and the committee first met Ian at the Canons Ashby event back in June.
The favourite White was Domaine Petit Saint Aunès, Vin de Pays d’Oc, Blanc - Chardonnay, 2007. It scored 3.46 out of 5.
The favourite Red was Ermitage du Pic Saint Loup, Cuvée Sainte Agnès Rouge, AOC, 2006. It scored 3.89 out of 5.
