La Cava Wines, a small independent wine merchant based in Bicester and Buckingham, hosted this wine tastingevent and brought along a selection of in-expensive wines that were meant to be perfect for the summer.
There was a bias towards Spanish wines, but not the ones you would expect. Spanish wines got the highest scores for both the Whites and the Reds.
The favourite White was Bioca Godello, Spain, 2010. It scored 3.71 out of 5.
The favourite Red was Chateldon Cabernet Sauvignon, Spain, 2003. It scored 4 out of 5.
